Brithday Card for Lola

Our oldest grand turns 6 on Tuesday, April 27th. Yes, I'll say it, "I just can't believe that 6 years have already past since Lola was born." Every second of every day is a gift.....cherish it.
I asked Lola last week what kind of cake/party she was having. She said "butterfly" or "Barbie." Tara, her mom (our oldest) looked at Lola and simply said, "I bet we can find some really cute butterfly things at the Dollar Store." Lola was thrilled with that answer.
So, we'll meet them for dinner Tuesday night (kids night at Chick-fil-a) and then attend her party next Sunday (new bike from Pop and Grana). Here's her very colorful birthday "butterfly" card (6 butterflies for her 6th birthday)! Until next time.....

Beth Moore, So Long, Insecurity

As promised, here is a follow-up to my post yesterday about attending the live simulcast from Woodstock, GA. I have to admit that I LOVE Beth Moore. I love the way she teaches, the life stories she shares, her love for Jesus and the Bible. Please visist Living Proof Ministries at www.lproof.org

Ephesians4:21-24 (the main scripture for her teaching)
Insecurity is not a weakness it's "unbelief."
Walk-out what God has called us to accomplish.
"Grace" is our excuse for being made new "not" to continue in our old lives.
Every baby girl born is worth what it takes for us as women to get over our insecurity.
JESUS IS MY SECURITY

Baby Shower Weekend

Enjoyed a great time with family this past weekend. Spent Saturday and that night with Connie (my sister), Danny (brother-in-law) and all their children, in-laws and grandkids. We laughed a lot and had a wonderful time. Sunday was Carrie and Joe's baby shower. Food, decoration and fellowship were all good. They got lots and lots of very nice gifts. Sunday afternoon headed to mom and dad's to spend the night. It's very seldom that I get alone time with mom and dad and it was really nice to have that time with them. Enjoy the pictures and until next time...........

So Many Things to Update You On

So, I'm really behind. I'm posting all of these at once - Easter, Lola's ballet debut, Abe's softball debut, spring in our yard, McGuire Grands spending afternoon with us and filling up our bird bath and finally my craft project to take care of all of my necklaces.

Easter at mom and dad's. We had over 30 family members able to make it to our annual "Easter Family Weekend!" We had a wonderful lunch, Easter egg hunt and an awesome time just visiting with each other. I am so very blessed!

Lola, Abe and Maggie all taking their turn in filling up our bird bath. I love to sit and watch birds. The bird bath is right outside our family room window. Hopefully, the birds will find the bath pretty soon.

Here is a picture of the way I use to hang my necklaces....a total mess! With a little inspiration, imagination, an antique store and Lowe's. Here is what I now have. I love it.
